Polar Pixel integration

The Polar Pixel: first-party attribution that platforms can't block.

Polar's own server-side pixel captures every on-site session and order, then credits revenue across 10 attribution models with multi-platform deduplication. It survives iOS, cookies and ad blockers, so it misses far fewer conversions than GA4 or ad platforms, and it becomes the single source of truth behind blended ROAS, true CAC and every attributed number in Polar.

Google Sheets → Polar

One pixel, and every Polar number gets an honest source.

The Polar Pixel captures sessions, journeys and orders server-side, then de-duplicates conversions across Meta, Google and TikTok. It is the attribution layer under your Blended Overview, Acquisition tab and true CAC, refreshed automatically.
First-party capture
“Why do I lose conversions to iOS and ad blockers?”
The Polar Pixel is first-party and server-side. It stores a session and visitor id in the browser but tracks on the server, so it keeps seeing sessions and orders that browser pixels lose to iOS, cookies and blockers.
server-side, not browser-only
De-duplicated conversions
“Why does every platform claim the same sale?”
Meta says it drove the order, Google says it did, Shopify says both. The Pixel de-duplicates across platforms so one sale is credited once, giving you a single source of truth instead of triple counting.
one sale, credited once
10 attribution models
“Which touchpoint really deserves the credit?”
Switch the whole platform between first click, last click, linear, time decay, U-shaped and data-driven (Shapley), plus paid-only and platform-overlap models. The model is a global setting that re-credits revenue everywhere.
first click to full impact
View-through overlap
“Why is Polar's ROAS lower than Meta's?”
Polar's models are click-based, so they read lower than Meta's view-heavy numbers. The Full Paid Overlap + FB Views model folds in Facebook view-through, honestly labelled, so you can land close to platform reporting when you need to.
click + view-through, separated
Coverage vs GA4
“How much are GA4 and the platforms missing?”
GA4 gets flagged by blockers and buckets traffic as (not set). Ad platforms over-report. The Pixel misses far fewer conversions, so pixel revenue sits next to platform-reported revenue, labelled, for every channel.
pixel revenue vs platform-reported
Powers everything
“What does the Pixel actually feed?”
The Pixel is the attribution engine behind blended ROAS, MER, true CAC, POAS and the Conversion Funnel, and it feeds the CAPI Enhancer that sends enriched conversions back to Meta, Google and TikTok.

Setup Guide

Install the Polar Pixel in a couple of clicks.

A Polar account with Shopify connected, the Polar Pixel add-on, and admin access to install the App Embed and the checkout script. Polar backfills once the Pixel is live and syncs from there.

The Pixel plugs into your store data so on-site sessions and journeys meet real orders and revenue automatically.

The Polar Pixel add-on and store admin

The Polar Pixel is an add-on feature. You need admin access to your Shopify store to install the Polar App Embed in your theme and to add the checkout or thank-you page script.

One install, no data team

Shopify and Recharge are UI-supported, Shopify Recharge is automatic. Custom and 3rd-party checkouts use a thank-you page script, and headless storefronts use the npm SDK. All need your myshopify.com domain.

1

Turn on the Polar Pixel ~1 min

Add-on, in the Polar Pixel section of Connectors.
In Polar, open Connectors and find Polar Pixel (or use the search bar). If your plan does not include it yet, activate the add-on, then open the Pixel setup panel to see your connected stores and checkouts.

App Embed plus a checkout script.
1
Enable the Polar App Embed in your Shopify theme. It drops a small script that stores a session and visitor id so journeys stitch together across pages.
2
Add the checkout or thank-you page script so purchases are captured server-side. Shopify Recharge is automatic, custom and 3rd-party checkouts use the manual script, and headless storefronts use the npm SDK.
Best practice: confirm the Pixel setup panel shows install and permission as granted for each store, and set up UTM tracking parameters so paid clicks map to the right channel.

Attribution lights up everywhere.
Polar backfills and keeps syncing. The Pixel powers the Acquisition tab, channel performance report, Blended Overview and Key Indicators, lets you switch attribution model globally, and feeds every Ask Polar answer with de-duplicated, click-attributed revenue.

Put a first-party source under every attributed number.

Install once and your blended ROAS, true CAC, Conversion Funnel and CAPI signal all read from one de-duplicated, first-party pixel instead of the platforms marking their own homework.

The Gap

Events in. Attribution truth out.

The Polar Pixel captures on-site sessions, journeys and orders server-side. Polar de-duplicates them across platforms, credits revenue through your chosen model, and hands back blended, click-attributed metrics, then feeds enriched conversions to Meta, Google and TikTok via the CAPI Enhancer.

Featured Use Case

The attribution truth report that runs itself.

Every Monday, a rule or an agent lines up what each platform claimed against what the Pixel actually attributed, de-duplicated, and tells you which channels are over-crediting themselves, before anyone trusts a platform dashboard.

Scheduled automation

No AI needed

Use Polar Automations to run a rule every Monday: pull platform-reported revenue next to Pixel-attributed revenue by channel, flag any channel over-crediting by more than 20%, and send the table to Slack or email.

AI agent

Dynamic

Give an agent the Polar MCP. Ask it to compare last week's platform claims to Pixel attribution across models, name the biggest over-reporter, and draft the budget call with the reasoning.
